The
City of Oxford Orchestra is on the
way to its half century in 2015 and in recent years has celebrated
its actual birthday, 27 February with a concert. St.
Michael at the North Gate has become a favourite venue and
this season we are delighted to join their series of free
lunchtime concerts, Music on Mondays.
We are thrilled to present Anna Blackmur
and Tom Poster who will play pieces
by Poulenc, Debussy and Gershwin. A collection will be taken at
the end for donation to a charity nominated by the performers.
It's
the perfect start to a busy week

After the City of Oxford
Orchestra's first concert on 27 February 1965, The Oxford magazine
wrote:
"I am
looking forward to the next programme if it is anything like as
enjoyable as this one." Fortunately for us, it seems that
it was! We are delighted to be celebrating our 47th birthday and
hope you will join us.
